What a week my friends... San Francisco is one of a kind city, the rhythm is so different out of New-York!!!
What bugged me a lot was the weather, may be I was there @ the wrong moment of the month, but it goes from cold to warm, from dry to misty, from sunny to cloudy and from windy to stormy and all together in the very same day...!!! Otherwise, it's a beautiful little town. I finally met with the guys from Terroir, a great wine store/bar dedicated to natural wines, we have a lots of wine in common, if you swing by SF, go visit them @ 1116 Folsom Street, open from 10.00 a.m to 12 a.m Sunday to Thursday and from 10.00 a.m to 2.00 a.m Friday & Saturday. You can also visit them @ www.terroirsf.com
I'll get back to San Francisco in a soon to come post.
This Sunday will be a busy day. First, due to a private party, we'll be opening @ 6.00 p.m. According to the forecast, it's gonna be pissing rain, so to keep you warm and happy, we'll be traveling back to India with a SPICY CHICKEN CURRY!!! Warm, earthy dish that will make us forget about the rainy week to come.
Some wine just arrived, some still on the way, a complete review of exciting stuff will be available within 2 weeks. Already in, a great spanish cider from the basque region, very dry and fruity with subtle bubbles : absolutely delicious and refreshing.
Coming next week, the sparkling gamay rose from Jean Maupertuis (Pink Bulles) that we had last year, the vintage 07 from Rene-Jean Dard & Francois Ribo, an amazing dessert wine, Jurancon, from Yvonne Hegoburu.
Sorry but no photos this week, I lost my computer in San Francisco and had, obviously, no back-up and not enough time to put some veryrecent one on...be patient, I'll catch up as soon as I come back from the carribean, while you'll be in the rain, I'll be sailing the islands in search of the perfect weather!!!
May Maya be my Goddess
