Paul The Oracle Octopus for Sunday Night Delicacies

... 2 weeks of silence, 2 weeks feeling my brain melting down, doing things in slow motion!!!

Whatever, we keep the red wine chilled, the white cold & the rose iced cold... The damn World Cup's getting to an end with a lots of surprises and shameful stories. The final is all about Paul the Oracle Octopus, who lately predicted game winners. Considering that the competition is almost over and that we don't wanna know who's gonna be the winner, you are welcome to come along watch the final with us while eating PAUL THE ORACLE OCTOPUS RICE...!!!

On the wine side, a few new bottles have landed lately. We are very happy to have 3 wines from Catherine Marin-Pestel for Domaine La Treille Muscate.
"La Fille de l'Air" 08, a blend Carignan/Merlot in carbonic maceration, all on the fruit   that makes you friend again with Merlot : yummy.

"L'Effrontee" 08, 100% Carignan with carbonique maceration & aged in old oak. You got the fruit and the typicity of the terroir : deep and rich.

"la Fugitive" 08, 100% Macabeu, very aromatique, stone dry with a lingering finish : addictive.

Domaine de l'Anglore has finally landed!!! Eric Pfifferling's wine are always awaited. We put our hands on a very few bottles of 2 of his cuvees
"Pierre Chaude" 09, an unusual blend of Grenache & Clairette that we gonna try tonight.

"Tavel" 09, a well known rose appelation in the Rhone. Lots of ripe fruit, a touch of guarrigue and seabreeze : delicious beside the austerity of the wine.

Domaine la Tour Grise, with Francoise & Philippe Gourdon, brought us "Zero Pointe" Rose, a fun & refreshing bubble made of 100% Cabernet Franc.

'Les Amandiers" 02, 100% Chenin Blanc on 11 years old vines that shows the richness of that grape through a round, buttery yet dry wine.

Then, still in the Loire, Thierry Puzelat & Pierrot Bonhomme (again) with the new vintage of "Le Rouge est Mis". a 100% Pinot Meunier red wine that we gonna tate tonight...

One bad news, we won't get the wines from The Prince of the Alberes, he got knocked down by a label!!!

So well, wine tasting tonight, I guess beach on Saturday and Paul The Oracle on Sunday, that's a busy week-end coming up my friends... what about yours???

And M keeps me busy too!!!

Cheers
